The difference between Q235B steel and SS400 steel

SS400 is a kind of steel grade of Japan steel plate.
Detailed introduction is as follows:
It is the common Japanese steel grade used in ordinary and mechanical structure steel plate .
In Japan's Steel (JIS series) grades, the normal structural Steel mainly consists of three parts: the first part indicate the material, such as: S (Steel) said Steel, F (Ferrum) said iron. The second part represents different shape, type, purpose, such as P (Plate) said plate, T said Tube (Tube), K (Kogu) said tools. The third part represents the number characteristics, usually is the minimum tensile strength. Such as: SS400 -- the first S said Steel (Steel), the second S said "Structure" (Structure), 400 is the lowest tensile strength 400 Mpa, overall said 400 Mpa tensile strength ordinary Steel.
SPHC - the first S is the abbreviation of steel, P is the abbreviation of Plate, H is the abbreviation of Heat, C is the abbreviation of Commercial, general said ordinary hot rolled Steel Plate and Steel Strip.
SPHD - said hot rolled steel plate and steel strip for stamping.
SPHE - said hot rolled steel plate and steel strip for deep drawing.
(SPCC) - said cold-rolled carbon steel plate and steel strip for general use, the equivalent steel grade is Q195-215A in China. The third letter C is the abbreviation Cold. To ensure tensile test, adding T at the end of grade is SPCCT.
SPCD - said cold-rolled carbon steel plate and steel strip for stamping, equivalent to China's high-quality carbon structural steel 08 AL (13237).
SPCE, said cold-rolled carbon steel plate and steel strip for deep drawing, equivalent to China 08 AL (5213) deep drawing steel. To ensure the none timeliness, adding N at the end of grade is SPCEN.
Cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip steel Q+T code: A for annealing, S for standard Q+T, 8 for 1/8 hard , 4 for 1/4 hard, 2 for 1/2 hard, 1 for hard.
Surface processing code: D for matt finishing, B for shiny finishing .
Such as (SPCC) - SD said standard Q+T, matt finishing cold-rolled carbon steel sheet for common use.
Such as SPCCT again - SB said standard Q+T, brightness processing, guarantees the mechanical properties cold rolled carbon sheet.
In our country the mechanical properties of Q235 (yield strength standard values fy = 235 mpa) equivalent with the Japan SS400 steel (fy = 245 Mpa) .
