Is SS400 steel same as A36 steel?
SS400 belongs to JIS G3101 specifications of rolled steels for general structure.A36 come from specification ASTM A36/A36M for carbon structural steels.This meas these SS400 and A36 steels both used in mild structural industry,have the same applications.
The ASTM standard A36 steel and the JIS standard SS400 steel chemical composition are also much the same.
