Anviloy 4200 for Die Casting

Tungsten anviloy 4200 provides a low erosion rate due to its chemical resistance. This occurs because molten aluminum dissolves tool steel. Aluminum does not dissolve tungsten anviloy 4200, therefore you have a longer die life. This means you don't have to change the die or core rods as often which results in less downtime. Die life can be up to 10 times longer with tungsten anviloy.

Tungsten Anviloy 4200 for die casting has low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity which are fundamental for heat checking resistanc. The low thermal expansion allows for low thermal stress. A high thermal conductivity reduces the thermal gradients and thereby the thermal stress by cooling the casting faster.

Anviloy 4200 Heat resistance: After carbon, tungsten has the highest melting point of all elements of 3422°C. It has a boiling point of around 5,700°C. With these properties, the metal can withstand high temperatures and smelting and in addition has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Anviloy 4200 Resistance: Tungsten also has high resistance to acids. Even hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia are hardly able to attack tungsten at room temperature
