According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, the output of crude steel, pig iron, and steel in China from January to April in 2018 was 287.97 million tons, 238.87 million tons and 337.34 million tons, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 5%, a decrease of 1.2%, and an increase of 5%. In April, the output of crude steel, pig iron, and steel in China was 76.7 million tons, 63.11 million tons, and 92.27 million tons, respectively, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.4%, and an increase of 8.5%. Average daily production of crude steel, pig iron and steel in April was 2,559,700 tons, 2,103,700 tons and 3,077,000 tons respectively, an increase of 7.13%, 7.86% and 6.21% respectively from the average daily output in March.

According to statistics, the output of coke in China from January to April was 13,935 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%; of which, China's coke production in April was 36.72 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%. From January to April, China's raw coal output was 1,109.71 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%; in April, China's raw coal output was 293,300,000 tons, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year.
