Ministry of Commerce: Steel prices rose 1.5% last week

According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, last week (April 30 to May 6) the national market price index of edible agricultural products fell by 0.6% from the previous week, and the price index of the production materials market rose by 0.3% from the previous week.

Production materials market: The price of steel increased by 1.5% from the previous week. The prices of high-speed wire rods, rebar, general round steel and hot-rolled strip were 4,153 yuan, 4,058 yuan, 4,176 yuan and 4,155 yuan per ton respectively, up by 2.2%. 2.1%, 1.4% and 1.3%.

The price of rubber was generally stable, with natural rubber prices rising by 0.1% and synthetic rubber prices falling by 0.1%.

Fertilizer prices were basically the same as the previous week, with urea prices rising by 0.2%, ternary compound fertilizers and diammonium phosphate prices falling by 0.2% and 0.1% respectively, and the price of potassium chloride was basically stable.

Coal prices fell by 0.2%, of which thermal coal and anthracite prices were 596 yuan and 842 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, and coking coal prices were 747 yuan per ton, up 0.4%.

The prices of basic chemical raw materials fell by 0.6%, of which prices of caustic soda and sulfuric acid decreased by 1.8% and 1.7% respectively, while prices of soda ash and methanol rose by 2.4% and 0.6% respectively.

The price of non-ferrous metals fell by 0.7%, among which the prices of copper, zinc and aluminum decreased by 1.3%, 1.1% and 0.2% respectively, while the prices of nickel, lead and tin rose by 0.6%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively.
